Dr. Hillary Martin

"The first day I met Dr. Martin, I left her office with a massive sense of optimism and relief.  It was almost as if a huge weight was lifted, and I thought, I am finally going to get the help I've been needing and wanting for years."

Dr. Martin is a registered Naturopathic Doctor in the states of California and Colorado. She has been passionate about health, diet and exercise ever since she was a child and has worked in healthcare for over 15 years. Her mother had cancer and died of secondary heart failure over ten years after the diagnosis. As she watched that process happen she was exposed to the powers of western medicine, chemotherapy, radiation treatments and the miracles of naturopathic medicine, nutrient supplementation, exercise, macrobiotic diet, stress management and laugh therapy that extended her mothers life well beyond predictions. This had a huge impact on her life and created her desire to bridge the gap between eastern and western medicine. She was raised by her father, has travelled the world, worked a myriad of jobs and over the years with drive and enthusiasm became a doctor. Now as a woman, a mother, and a doctor working in a mans world she has created her ideal work environment at the Naturopathic Womens Wellness Center! The office environment is family friendly, professional, personal and allows her to do the two things she does best,  optimize wellness in her patients and raise her family with love and attention. Dr. Martin schedules 60-90 minutes for each office visit to allow time to be thorough in health history, physical exam and get to know each patient on an individual basis. This time commitment and connection she believes is the power behind naturopathic medicine and what makes the difference in true healing. She plans to specify days of the month to be designated as “Pay It Forward” days where patients can seek medical care on a sliding scale basis in effort to make this medicine accessible to everyone. She is excellent at what she does, can offer the best of both worlds as a primary care naturopathic doctor and health consultant well versed in eastern and western medical processes and would love to share it with you!

In her practice, Dr. Martin provides comprehensive naturopathic medical care and individualized support that integrates the “western” MD perspective. She has over 20 years experience working in health-care. Her training and exposure with NDs as well as MDs/DOs makes her unique in bridging the gap with both aspects of medicine. Her goals are to analyze and assess all sides of ones health including mental, emotional and the pathophysiological aspects in order to optimize health. Her philosophy is to prevent illness, discover imbalances within the body and rebuild the foundation to create health. This path is achieved through patient education, lifestyle changes, nutrition, counseling and a proper support network. Her skill base also uses food as medicine, botanicals, homeopathy, and manual therapy, as well as conventional treatments, lab work and imaging when needed. She takes a “first do no harm” approach to her medicine utilizing the most effective yet least invasive approach to optimize wellness.

Dr. Martin earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Pre-Med at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Dr. Martin is a member of the Colorado Naturopathic Doctors Association CoAND. She is registered by the state of Colorado as a ND. In her free time you can find her playing  with her two kiddos, hiking in the mountains, camping, shopping at the weekly farmers markets and maintaining a daily yoga practice to keep her balanced and focused.

Dr. Reinholtz SHINES in her unique experience working with women’s health, endocrinology, autoimmune disorders, digestive disorders and weight loss. Specialities include Diabetes and SIBO.

Dr. Katie Reinholtz

As someone who has experienced Dr. Katie's care, I can testify to her thorough and thoughtful engagement while working toward health. I have recommended her to many people. She is qualified to discern health concerns and work toward healing in a more natural way.”

Dr. Katie is a registered Naturopathic Doctor in the state of Colorado.  She specializes in women’s health, endocrinology, autoimmune disorders, digestive disorders and weight loss.  She first learned about Naturopathic medicine after seeing a functional medicine doctor in college who helped her see that everything from digestion to mood (to blood sugars) was connected and that what we eat and how we live is one of the most important things we can do for our health.    As a type 1 diabetic I’ve learned to love and respect what western medicine can provide but also the power that nutrition, herbs and supplements can have in maintaining the quality of life we all want!   After studying psychology for many years Dr. Katie is also passionate about the importance of mental health and how naturopathic medicine can play a vital role  in allowing us to deal with the stress and the difficulties in daily life.  After her own experience with Functional medicine, Dr. Katie was determined to help others incorporate both conventional and alternative medicines into the management of chronic disease.   This pursuit of balance between these two models of medicine brought her to Naturopathic medicine, a place where both can, and do, work together to bring about healing.

In 2010 Dr. Katie graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine where she completed three years of mentorship with Dr. Kimberly Windstar in women's health and endocrinology.  Dr. Katie also completed preceptorships with Dr. Patrick Chapman focusing on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and a homeopathy certificate with the New England School of Homeopathy (NESH).   She participated in research being done at the  Helfgott research institute and OHSU throughout her time in school and continues to incorporate research backed protocols into her treatment decisions.  After graduating in 2010 Dr. Katie moved to New York City where she maintained private practices both in New York City and in Blacksburg, Virginia.  She had the privilege of working with clients to be a holistic addition to their primary care.   She also underwent additional training in functional lab analysis, treatment of diabetes, thyroid disorders, SIBO, PCOS and infertility.

During her time  in New York Dr. Katie also had the honor to work along side Lyn-Genet, an incredible nutritionist who founded the Anti-inflammatory eating program called  “The Plan”.   She saw clients lives and health shift dramatically just through changes in food and she is inspired everyday to bring the love of nourishing food to her clients and practice.

Eventually life, family (and her husband’s job!) brought Dr. Katie to Boulder where she is thrilled to be joining Naturopathic Women’s Wellness and the community of amazing providers to help bring patients the best possible care.  She offers 60-90 minute initial visits, a customized diabetes and blood sugar program and comprehensive follow-ups that allows her to spend the time necessary to give clients the attention they need.

Dr. Katie is registered by the state of Colorado as a Naturopathic Doctor and is an active member of the Colorado Naturopathic Doctors Association (CoAND).  Dr. Katie was previously licensed in the state of Oregon and was a past member of the Oregon association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) and the AANP.   When she is not working you will find Dr. Katie biking, hiking or walking around with her 3 fiery daughters, husband and a dog that keeps them all on their toes.   She very much looks forward to working with you!
